Exploring the beauties of the Bay of Kotor. Kotor
The old Town of Kotor is located on the shore of the Bay of Kotor and is a world cultural heritage site and is protected by UNESCO. The city has been one of the most important seaports and trade centers of the Adriatic for more than 2,000 years.
Palaces of rich families, churches, towers and fountains have been preserved behind the fortress wall of the ancient city. Here, every building, every street, and every stone conceal the unique history of the city. In fact, the entire Old Town of Kotor is one big museum.
For the most romantic: if you look at the old town of Kotor late at night from the opposite side of the bay (in the Myo area), the lights of the fortress will reflect off the water, forming a huge heart.
