Tivat is located in the central part of the Boka Kotor Bay on the southern slope of the Vrmac mountain range. This is the youngest city in the Bay of Kotor, however, for many tourists it is the gateway to Montenegro, since it is the only airport on the coast and it is Tivat that is considered the center of maritime tourism of the entire Adriatic.
